An artist that we've followed for some time here at TMR, the fiercely idiosyncratic Anna B Savage announces her new album You and i are Earth with its curious lead single 'Agnes (feat. Anna Mieke)'. Laced with a child-like sense of wonderment, the observational track draws on an unsettling experience that Savage had through meditation, which ultimately ended in an immersive, beautiful feeling. She explains: “I felt like I was part of the earth, completely connected to the mycelium network, I felt like I was where I was meant to be.” Featuring contributions from a host of Ireland's finest musicians, the accomplished piece (and forthcoming LP) was produced by the brilliant John 'Spud' Murphy (Goat Girl, Lankum, black midi et al). Arriving alongside a video channelling some serious Ana Mendieta vibes, Savage immerses herself literally within the earth, making for a striking visual that mirrors the affecting experience that lead to the existence of the single itself.
